This session will use the sport of rugby to teach a unit developed around the meaningful physical education framework and cooperative learning strategies. Come and learn how to teach a dynamic and inclusive team game, which may be completely new to you and your students, embedded with concepts such as the stages of learning, goal setting, and self efficacy. Cooperative learning strategies will be used throughout to help students develop skills in the affective domain, including challenge, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills. This will be an active, hands-on session so get ready to play!
